If you’ve seen either Charlie and the Chocolate Factory films or read the book by Roald Dahl, then you already know to expect some wonkiness out of this show. The material itself is a goldmine asking to be put on Broadway, and now that plea has finally been answered. This sugary, family-friendly show follows Charlie (Ryan Foust) on his tour of the illustrious candy factory of Willy Wonka (Christian Borle).
One of the best parts is seeing some of these classic characters portrayed by adults, particularly Augustus Gloop (F. Michael Haynie). The show is at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre and is 2 hours and 30 minutes long.
