Cup of Coffee in NYC Who doesn’t love a great cup of coffee? Well, New York is the place for you with over thousands of amazing coffee spots that are just wonderful it will be hard to choose which ones to try. The best thing about coffee shops is that you can smell the coffee as you are coming down the street. If you are a coffee drinker than you know what a delicious and happy smell that is. Personally, I need to have a cup of coffee to get my day going so when I go into New York it is such a great treat to stop into one of the coffee shops and get a drink.

The are tons of mom and pop shops and not chains that you can go to anywhere. Of course, you will still find your Dunkin Donuts and Starbucks every few blocks. My favorite shop that I try and go to every time I am in the city is Blue Bottle Coffee located in Rockefeller Center. Yelp.com says “the coffee will knock your socks off” and it really will. I always get the iced coffee there and it is the best I’ve ever had!

According to Yelp.com another very popular coffee shop is Stumptown Coffee Roasters, which is located in The Ace Hotel. All of the reviews are absolutely wonderful and if you go there it is suggested you try the iced coffee. This sounds like a place I would love! A little tip if you do want to try this place is that the shop is a little hard to spot because it is inside the hotel so you just need to go inside the hotel and look around for it. Also, it is CASH ONLY!

If you want to do some people watching and grab a great cup of coffee then try Gregory’s Coffee located in the theater district. I have stopped here a few times after going to see a play and it is a perfect ending to what usually is a great day in the city. I have only had regular coffee here but every time its great. It never has that burnt or bitter taste. If you are in the area or going to see a play I would make a point to stop here.
